    Optimum mill head

Hi Everybody, Have purchased one of these along with the optimum lathe. https://www.machineryhouse.com.au/M646 It works fine, but am thinking I want to have a separate milling machine and make it CNC.

I am looking at this table https://www.machineryhouse.com.au/M198 then making a frame to mount it all on.

Do you think this will work?

    Comments appreciated.

    Regards

    Prboz

I would just buy a new stand alone mill. Seems easier than hacking something together. Plus, you may miss having that mill head mounted to your lathe.

I would see if I could get the table for the stand-alone mill instead. I bought a rebranded Weiss Machine WM290V-F Combo (I believe) and managed to buy just the table for the mill so I could separate the lathe and the mill.
