Have you tried the SolidWorks Online Tutorials provided by SolidWorks, and accessed via the SolidWorks toolbar "Help -> Online Tutorials" selection?
They should get you up and running PDQ!HayTay

The online tutorials were a great help for me. Up and running at least for the basics in 1 day.
