    Building 4 axis CNC Router (wood)

    Hello All!
    I've got to wire and configure 4axis cnc machine to work with kflop.
    What I have:
    - 3 NEMA34 1200 oz-in Stepper Motor - Dual Shaft (KL34H2120-42-8B) (Y, Z, A axis), wired Parallel

    - 1 NEMA34 Stepper Motor – 906 oz in 6.1A Dual Shaft (KL34H295-43-8B) (X axis), wired Parallel

    - 1 Unregulated Linear 1440W/72VDC/20A Toroidal PSU (KL-7220) (measured 64V idle, connected serially to 220VAC)

    - 1 KL-34GH101 10:1 Planetary Gearbox 4000RPM (A axis)

    - 4 Gecko G201X (10uSteps, 3.3V common, configured 3A)

    - 6
    NPN DC6-36V LJ12A3-4-Z/BX as home/limit switches. Powered from 12V and connected to Kflop through resistive simple voltage divider (3.1V after devision)

    - 3 Omron e6b2-cwz6c (npn). Signal wires ground connected through 1kOhm resistor.

    - 4kW spindle (3 phase)

    - TOSHIBA VFS11-4075PL-WN VFD (want to control it with ModBus RTU from Kflop)

    - DLS-B1600 linear glass scale (X axis)

    - Rigol scope to help in finding issues
    - bunch of resistors and capacitors

    Photos of build-in-progress

    What does work (more/less):
    - axis movement more/less. Because acceleration/velocity is not configured properly yet.
    - home/limit switches. There are false positives sometimes on Z axis.
    - some output from OMRON encoders (linear glass is not connected yet). But because they are NPN and not PNP the output signal is inverted because of the way I connected them

    I'm using latest version of KMotion (4.33l). Problems so far:
    - Pressing Save/compile/download/run doesn't make any difference from time to time. At least changes are not reflected in step/response measurements. Flashing usermemory + Kflop reset does make change.
    - Most of chX-> params are unclear to me. Like:
    * Lead=0
    * invDistPerCycle=1
    * MaxOutput=5000
    * MaxI=5000
    * FFAccel=0
    * FFVel=0
    - command and measure are weird to me (at least now). What I've got yesterday when connected encoders:

    Red line and axis values at the left as weird to me.
    - for some unknown reason channel 2 stopped working for me 2h ago.
    My config so far is attached.

    I would appreciate any help. Thanks!

    Looking at http://www.dynomotion.com/Help/Flash...ers/index.html helped a lot in understanding how channel download/upload works. What's still unclear is why changing InputGain for channel in C program and pressing S/C/D/R button doesn't apply the change to the Kflop board running configuration.

    I don't think you are on the right path. First thing to do is open the axis screen in k-motion.exe and flash new version. This will reset the board and remove anything you have flashed to the board and start from a clean slate. Then setup your axis in the axis screen and the step response screen. You don't need any c-code files to do any of this they are compiled after you have the axis working. When you hit the move button on the step response screen it automatically downloads the channel you are working in before making a move so any changes made to the axis in any of the k-motion screens is automatically updated. Also I think your max output and integrator are set higher then k-motion allows. For now change them to 1000 till you know what is acceptable.

    Thnx. I'll try that. I'm living in EEST timezone so it will be tomorrow. Any other thoughts appreciated so that I can try them tomorrow
