    Please advise on first CNC

Hi, first post here. I'm looking to purchase a CNC or CNC kit for making guitar and bass bodies/necks as a hobby.

I would like a rigid and precise machine. Ideally with a smaller footprint, which will work in a small home/garage shop situation. My budget is between $2,500-$4,000 total, which I realize limits my options.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I see this is an older post. Did you finally decide on one ? Just wondering as I am in the exact same place as you and contemplating my first ever CNC for guitar work.
    Thanks

    Rusty,

We also make cnc routers. What is your budget and table size requirement?

    Thank You for reply,

Basically, I'm new to cnc but have been reliably informed that I would be needing 1000x600 for guitar parts and especially necks ? Is that correct or would I get away with a smaller table ?
I would need minimum 1050 spindle according to what I read on different forums.
I was thinking around 3,500 euro and I'm based in Ireland.

Once you get into the machine, you'll have no problem coming up with other things that you can do on it, so you don't want to limit your size too much.

Ie, if you're making acoustic, you may want to be able hand the body size dimensions for making molds, etc. Or maybe just profile cutting your tops and backs, etc.

I went with a pro 4x2 from here: (CNCRouterparts.com). Already feeling a little limited to the size, but it is expandable in the future.

Thanks for that. I was also thinking about necks and especially Irish Bouzouki necks which are a little longer so I may go for the 1000x400 0r even 600

    Many Thanks
