Mastercam v9 - Setting Default Parameter Values

OK, I know that v9 is a very old versions but, my Mastercam v5 is still quite capable of covering my general needs.

In Mastercam v7 I open the parameters, set the desired default values, save the settings to the library and they stick. In Mastercam v9 I open the parameters, set the desired default values, save the settings to the library and Mastercam's values prevail over my settings. Is that just another one of Mastercam's built in peculiarities?

i guess one way to know is, set the parameters to what you want, then send a prog, then exit the page, and reopen it, and resend the same program. if the settings are good, then maybe you can only save parameters to each prog? if they are back to default, maybe they cant be saved?
