I bought an 2001 enco X6320 (best I can read on the plate, punch didn't do too great) knee mill from a local business to use for odd jobs, one-off drilling / slotting ops, etc. Basically stuff that I don't want to set up one of the CNCs for. Runs great in the high speed range, no issues. When switching into the low range, the entire drivetrain gets locked up. I can feel the gears meshing when I move the lever into position and then it is completely stuck. Any ideas? Manual looks 100 years old and translated from another language, but I think all I'm supposed to do is turn off the power / spindle, move the speed range selector lever into the low range (down position) and turn it on. Any ideas would be appreciated.
