Question for those of you that do lathe work. When I do a face operation I offset my edge however much I want to face (say 0.060" as an example) and then I run my OD cut starting from that 0.060 back from Z zero. That works great for the first side of a the part when I don't care what the actual length is. But then when I turn the other side I do the same face operation and then run my OD, but this time I'm still to long, so now I have to face off more, but my OD operation is still starting at the 0.06 from Z zero location.
So how do you take care of adjusting the dept of the facing operation and still have your turning program come out correctly?
