I recently saw this video on sub-spindle programming with a Haas,

I was wondering if anyone had the mirror imaging code for the MSX-850III control.

that G14 is a nice idea. the machine works the same as any other but with G14 it reverses the sign of all Z's to simplify programming.
pity there's no equivalent on other controls.
on twin spindle Mori's Z movement to the right on the other spindle is Z+. the zero is set with a different workshift (like G55)
it may be possible to adjust to suit requirements (via parameters). I imagine it's not a simple process so consult with a Mori Seiki applications engineer.
the short answer is no.
Thanks for the input. Today when going thru the M codes in the help menu I stumbled across M395 and M396 for Z axis mirroring on and off. Haven't had the chance to try them out to see if they work as I'm hoping.
it must be something new because if you search for M395 M396 on Google this page is the only relevant hit.
It's not listed in my NT4250 manual printed 07/2008
Still didn't get the chance to try it yet. What's odd is that this is on a 2006 model and not listed in the manual, only on the help menu at the control.
Have a NT1000 here we use M395/M396 sometimes for programs on the Sub spindle.
