    Fanuc 6T issue

    Hello,
A machine Tsughami with Fanuc 6t is giving a random issue. During normal operation either spindle will stop working or tool turret will stop working but not both. Is this related to the distribution cards in front or some other issue. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thx

The problem is more severe now. Turret & spindle working in jog mode. While as soon as a program is run either turret does not move to target tool or spindle does not rotate. Must be related with control. Any procedure to refresh & reinstall control & parameters?

could be a dodgy turret switch. if the index switch is not working or stuck in a mid-rotate position the machine will wait for it to complete. the check for it only happens in memory mode.
bad turret switches are pretty common in old machines so that's something to check.

For the turret problem i would search for clamping sensor that is not checked for confirmation in jog mode.
For the spindle would be also the clamping sensor that i think is going off from vibrations during rotation.

Problem does seem to originate from turret since TERR(diagnostic bit 215.0) is 1. Tracing it leads to TERR8(diagnostic bit 15.0). This in turn leads to TEND & TAGR bits with TAGR(bit 216.1=0 meaning target position uncoincident). Any things to consider while checking dodgy/problematic turret switch. Any diagram that would help in this case as it will be the first time turret will be opened. Thx
