Hi,
Having a few issues with a Mori Seiki NL1500 Lathe. When I try and generate an NC program there is an error and the only option is to abort. This happens on new programs and when editing old programs, and I am unable to find any coherent information as to what the problem is. Here is the error:
"NC COMMUNICATION ERROR"
"MAPI_ERROR_FILE_MEMORY_OVER(1604)"
"Press 'ABORT' key."

where are you 'generating' the program? In CAPS or Esprit or something else?
FILE_MEMORY_OVER suggests you are lacking free memory. Try deleting some
old programs in the memory, either on the NC side or the CAPS/Esprit side.
