Hi,
I am new around this forum and wanted to shortly introduce my self.
Im from Spain and do like machining stuff. Until now it's not been possible to have time/resources for this and now I am starting.
Im looking for a quality manual lathe with "big" spindle bore, more than 40-42 mm and Im a little struggled.
Lots of walks around in used machinery, lots of visits and pics downloads in so many "same asian lathes" manufacturers....
So, a little tired of seeing the same, basically.
Now I'm paying attention to Klippfeld brand. They have a solution 600 mm distance and 50,2 mm through spindle.
Looks good.
I have to investigate more.
I have the feeing that I will learn a lot here.

I need big bore (>45mm) capability and I have been doubting a lot between a modern new machine like Kliplfeld's A12 and a british or german 1990's big lathe (weiler, colchester triumph).
Finally I have decided A12. It is ordered. For what I need I think it is more than enough; I work out mainly aluminum, and I want A12 mainly for secondary operations.
How is your experience with Klippfeld?

i have good experience so far and i am regularily in the factory because i do buy mills from them to cnc them like mercedes and amg,.. on my lathe i like most how quiet and stable it is ,..
