Hello,
I default to 1000 RPM when single point threading on my CNC Fanuc OT 1999 control. Currently I am cutting a 3/8-16 thread in stainless and it is running good. I have cut air at 2000 RPM and seeing how fast the machine is moving and wondered if it is too hard on the machine and if there would be thread pitch error.
Any experiences with faster RPM's? I know surface footage comes into play on larger thread diameters but what about smaller diameters.
Thanks
