    Vista Pendant P1A-S

So, when my Tormach jogging pendant started sticking and moving poorly, I came here to see if there were some fix suggestions. I read a lot of information and ended up buying a Vista pendant. Oh my! If I had this pendant from the beginning I can only imagine how much it would have saved me in broken carbide mills during my learning curve. This thing is the bomb. Thanks CNC Zone. Now lets badger Tormach to make it usable in PP since I want to upgrade to it some day. I will not switch if I have to go back to that jogger they sell.

Or badger VistaCNC into providing the plug-in. Doesn't have to come from Tormach. Vista CNC has said they are working on a linuxcnc solution.

That's seems like a better option overall. Vista has much more of a vested interest in making it work.

"Hey Tormach, put a bunch of effort into making this 3rd party thing you don't even sell work"

    versus

"Hey Vista, if you make your thing work with PP, then more people would buy it"

I'll order one the day it's compatible with PP. Come'on Vista! Make it happen. We all want the pendant but not if we have to use Mach 3/4.

Hey I've got an idea, Vista, sell pendants to Tormach and let Tormach sell them direct to us. I'd even be ok with paying more provided it had been vetted and supported by Tormach.

Emails ([email protected]) to Vista will probably be more effective than complaining here. I've written twice and gotten a "we're working on it" reply both times.

I was under the impression that folks from VistaCNC were on this board and monitoring the Vista / PP improvement effort.....

Either way, I'll send them an email right now. Maybe if we flood their email with request they will finally do something. I got $$$ just sitting here to send them for a pendant.

    Later,

Sorry, my bad. There was a guy posting about writing some code for the pendant and I thought it was someone from Vista. I did send Vista and email this morning requesting the PP compatibility and that I would order one the day they hit the shelves.

When mine gets erratic I blow it out with compressed air, I do try to keep it as clean as possible though. I have a PS1A pendant but I prefer the Tormach pendant as I can use it with one hand, I did buy a spare but havent needed it.

Fantastic! Any indication of how to get it work in LinuxCNC (standard rather than PP version)?
