    speed and feed

Does the speed and feed calculator on SurfCAM seem a little to agressive to anyone else but me?

    uneducated guess

I really am not familliar with that app. If you do a search on ME Consultant on google, you may find it quite nice. I have enjoyed using it for a rule of thumb. Keep in mind, some of the newer calc programs for IPT/IPM are geared towards newer rigid equipment.

Hope it helps, speeds and feeds seem to be the toughest for me to grasp.

if you don't find it, send me a message, it's freeware.

    Just my view,
    Kenny

yes it can be; i always used what worked for me; but as i was always machining D2 I just made my own settings for each cutter in the mag
the auto came up with a stupid number for a 1/16" ball nose; would never run for 1 sec
