    Unhappy z axis

    Well I purchased new drive, new encoder and z axis is crawling along.
    Had to switch the two channels on the drive in relation to the encoder (a to b & b to a) to keep from faulting.
    Replace a E2 US Digital 250-250 G optical with a AMT102-V capacitive. Fooled with damp,limit and gain
    enough for it to run at a crawl and the keyboard up makes it go down and vice versa...
    What the heck is going on...I have been at this for a week..........PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Encoder? What encoder?? Ain't no encoders on a stepper machine....
