Blog Post concerning Merger CNCzone - IndustryArena

    Dear CNCzone users,

An era is coming to an end – a new epoch for CNCzone has dawned: after 14 years, I have decided to devote myself in the future to fresh challenges and exciting issues. For this reason, I am now handing over all of CNCzone’s affairs to my cooperation partner, the CNC-Arena, which since May 2015 has been officially operating as IndustryArena. In the past few years, it has been a pleasure and a privilege for me to play a crucial role in creating and supporting this unique community of CNCzone.

Ever since January 2013, CNCzone and IndustryArena have been working together with great success. Both these communities address the same production-related issues. The targeted intermeshing of these two communities is to be progressed under the aegis of IndustryArena. This will in the near future create the strongest community around for production technology. Frank Nolden and Dr. Wilfried Schäfer are experienced specialists in this field. With their team, they are looking forward in the future to supporting both communities and merging the platforms to create a single unit.

The merger offers you, as a user of CNCzone, many advantages. This enlarged digital community, for example, now incorporates even more expert knowledge from all fields of production technology. IndustryArena is already offering lots of additional and valuable information on everything from topical issues to interesting innovations. These will in the future be accessible to users of CNCzone as well. The latest happenings in blogs and news, a large used-machinery market, a comprehensive product database for production technology, an eMagazine or specialist webinars and much, much more will round off IndustryArena’s wide range of capabilities. In the months ahead, all these modules will be usable for the CNCzone community. Together, this will create one of the world’s strongest communities for production technology. Right in line with the principle of providing fast access to know-how for every user.

I would like to express my gratitude for the superb cooperation and communication plus the confidence placed in me by the CNCzone community over the past few years. In the weeks ahead, I shall still be actively supporting the IndustryArena team, so that you will doubtless be reading about me now and then. My best wishes go to all users, and my hopes for them to enjoy illuminating and interesting hours on the world’s leading industrial platform, IndustryArena.

So are the old posts going to be abandoned, or transferred to CNC-Arena?

Paul, thanks again for running this! CNCZone has taken me from a newbie to machinist and has helped me build and fix dozens of CNC machines. I can honestly say, I think I would have gotten discouraged and likely quit without this place. To the rest of this community, if for some reason things change and it falls apart, thank you all! Like Paul you have been invaluable. Hopefully the cumbersome layout of IndustryArena wont destroy this community! This is one of the few places that has not been over run by trolls.

Thanks CNCZone, you will be missed!!

Thanks for all the effort running the place actively over the past number of years. I too like many was a reader (and still largely am) of the site rather than a participant - sadly I'm still way out of my depth on many areas to feel able to contribute. But I am very much thankful of the existence of this site and the doubtless long nights it took to keep it running schmick for us all to enjoy.

    Thank you!

    Dear Paul and Company,

I'm in Australia and have followed with interest the member builds and emerging technologies available to the interested amateur and professional alike.

The depth of expertise, knowledge and experience of the combined posters and members has been an absolute boon, and allows us to have a thorough understanding ( well-informed, at least) of the theory, mechanics, electronics and software associated with small scale CNC and enables us to develop novel solutions to our prototyping and manufacturing challenges.

In a world crowded with simple turnkey technology with very complicated and proprietary electronics and software leaving us at the total mercy of big players, CNC Zone's approache empowers us all.

Thanks for the last decade plus guys.
