In the picture you posted of the stepper drive I can vaguely see what appears to be eight wires connected coming from the motor. Is the motor a eight wire motor and if so is it connected using the series or parallel configuration?

Is the wire CAT 5 or bell cable, it looks like very small gauge?

It's not Cat 5 or any kind of ethernet, It's multistrand 18 gauge, I think. I will check it in the morning.

This is the wire which is between the controller and the motor. Coboc Model SPW-CL2-4C16-100-WH 100ft 16AWG CL2 Rated 4-Conductor Enhanced Loud

I used short pieces of another type wire between the breakout board and the drivers. They were solid (not stranded) wires but I forget the gauge etc. They are shielded, I think.
