    proximity switches

I'm using a C35s BOB for my G0704 mill and want to use proximity switches like these Inductive Switch Assembly to RJ45, CNC4PC

I'm having trouble with Mach 3 seeing all switches, at the moment it will only show 1 on the -Y.
All switches came wired into a rj45 plug. All built in switch lights are on and do flash on or off when metal is placed in front of them.

    Thanks
    Jim

Hello i'm new in this forum.
I reviewed your problem and I think the proximity should be attached to the RJ45 connector 7 not the RJ45 8.

    Re: proximity switches

    Hi Jim

looking at the links from this web page for the C34 bob and the proximity switch kits
its not obvious to me which switch kit you have

if you have the 3 axis kit plugged into the C35's RJ45 socket 8 and the pin 11 jumper set to socket 7
then I can see why Mach 3 will only see the Y axis limit switches
    ( pin 10 = Y axis limit switch)

    Attachment 291590

the way the 2 proximity switches for each axis are wired Mach 3 can only see a switch has been operated but not which one

    Attachment 291592

how have you assigned the input pins in Mach 3's pins and ports ?

    use RJ45 socket 7 ,
    pin 13 = Z limit switch
    pin 12 = Y limit switches
pin 11 = X limit switches and jumper on the C35 set for socket 7

    Re: proximity switches

Looks like I had the switches plugged into socket 7.
Now when it triggers a limit switch, I can't "reset" or manual move away from the triggered switch. I have to disable the triggered switch.
