    Bosch Colt/Chinese spindle Comparison

    Hello
I would really appreciate some help in determining relative comparison between my Bosch Colt 1HP trim router and a Chinese spindle/control package I am considering.
The Bosch is adequate for my current needs which mainly is V carving in soft woods and engraving aluminum. I am also limited to what I can plug into a standard 20A electric outlet so this setup caught my eye as a replacement as the bearings on my colt are on its last leg and I would prefer something a bit quieter.
If this isn't the way to go, perhaps a suggestion as a replacement for a similar package?

    Thanks for your time.

The following are the specs from Ebay:

    1.Air Cooled Spindle:
    Spindle motor: New DC motor
    Power: 600W
    Operating voltage DC24V-110VDC
    Maximum working current: 7.8A
    Maximum Power: 600W
    Rotation Speed :2000-13000r / min.
    Torque: 600mN.m
    Insulation resistance:> 2 megohm
    Dielectric strength: 400V
    Diameter: 57mm
Motor Overall length: 222mm (includes gripping parts and motor)
    Axis collet Length: 43mm
    Diameter of ER11 clamping holder:16mm
    The spindle runout: about 0.01-0.02.
Connection:Red line connect -,black line connect +.Please don't connect on the contrary,or the motor will be reverse rotation.
    Weight: 1kg
Can be used for engraving metal or nonmetal materials

    2.Power Supply speed governor:
Power Supply :support for Mach3 system
    Matching motor power: 50W ~ 500W
    Dimensions: 190mm x 105mm x 60mm
    Output current: 10A
    Excitation output voltage C110V
    The armature voltage output: DC0 ~ 52V
    Input voltage :AC220V/110V

Is this motor from ebay China brushless or brush?
For me, it looks like its brush motor, because there is only power supply and no inverter.

Forget about the Colt motor. Its too laud and not made for long runs.

The Bosch colt is a lot tougher than that motor. That chinese motor has No cooling fan and can't take a heavy load without over heating.
Both motors have brushes but the colt can run 30,000 rpm and that only runs 13000.
The only thing it has is a nicer collet

I am going to buy this today. I will update you on the situation. As long as it works in general I can show that a future upgrade is worth budgeting for. One of the nice things about doing this for work rather than a hobby.

Received the spindle today. It is indeed a brush motor. It's comes with an extra set of brushes. I quick wired it up and it seems to work fine and is quiet. It appears that it will work nicely for a first spindle.
