Hi,
sorry for posting in two forums, but I just want to get more opinion and come up with the final selection that I will release the hand into..

after going back and forth, asking and posting and googling ETC..... I finally decide to go with one of these two lathes for 3 reasons;
1- I don't need very heavy machine 1000+lb or big for what I am welling to do with,
2- they are cheap and good for the price and the fair quality...
3- I can upgrade each of them to CNC and not spending a lot if I buy more expensive lathe$%^&*

I know there is some different between these two lathes and I will for sure go with the 10x30 if I decide on PM lathe.

I think the different between those two lathes are:
1- number of threads cuts; grizzly > PM ((Grizzly win)

2-PM lathe have power cross feed vs grizzly (no power feed) ((PM win!))

3- grizzly have tapered roller bearing in spindle but not sure if PM lathe have the same quality bearings! (( who is the winner?))

4-PM lathes have low speed to 50 RPM vs grizzly have lower speed to 100 ((PM win))

5-PM lathe offering QCTP for $170 ready to install vs Grizzly you have to do some machining to fit it! ((PM win))

5-grizzly spindle run-out ~ .0003 vs PM spindle run-out .0005 ((Grizzly win)

so which one you pick if it was you?

now I know somebody will point on G4002/G4003 but both are more $$ and they don't have tapered roller bearing as the above lathe
also there is no variable speed !!
