Having some problems trying to create some turning toolpaths:

1. Boring finish run doesn't seem to finish the face surface?

2. Want to cut down to the 6mm diameter and I have tried groove and cutoff options and am unable to get the tool to the 6mm diameter.

I do not want to cutoff the part. That will be the final OP.

Any suggestions?

I have had some problems like that. My workaround was to create a fictitious bore line so the first line ('P' line) wasnt a facing move. Conversely when facing to a depth, the first line couldn't be a bore. The really strange thing is, its not repeatable!

No luck with the finish for the bore face.


Added a point to the back for the cutoff position - Worked


I have always felt the turning CAM in BobCAD has lagged behind the milling. This is a pretty simple job but it makes alot of hard work out of it.
