Yes sir that thing is going to constantly move . I yet to see what surface finish he would like and tolerance. That will dictate how hard this job will be !

Good point Rog
Not knowing anything about cutting metal from a pro/amateur angle, I'm interpreting that as the blade/laser cuts along the tube, the tube re-act in a graduated tension release like the opening of a zip under pressure?. Is this or would this make a big difference to a final product specs and, would it be pretty much the same expansion along the tube or, a gradation?
Actually Ian's trying to find a way of trying to reshape a plastic product that is already on the market, he thinks he can sell a whole bunch. I think it's great for him. He's learning to be creative and responsible
Yup, like a zip opening.as the blade/laser cuts along the tube, the tube react in a graduated tension release like the opening of a zip under pressure?. Is this or would this make a big difference to a final product specs and, would it be pretty much the same expansion along the tube
I have no idea which way it would go - open up or close down, but it will move some.
Without a far more detailed idea of what you are trying to make, I doubt anyone would be willing to try. We just do not know enough.
