Is there a proper way to mount fk type ballscrew bearings?

The attached image is how I designed my machine, last night I saw another machine with the orientation reversed (the flange on the opposite side).
Is one way better than the other? Will mounting the flange to one side or the other affect how the ballscrew needs machined?

    Thanks in advance

    Nobody?
Just wandering if having the flange on the other side is best, or affects the way the ballscrew gets machined

Hi....if your designing off the top of your head without having seen any other mount, then you're re-inventing the wheel.......fo no good reason?

My advice would be to do as everyone else is doing, unless you have a very good reason to be different.

You lose a bit of travel on the screw, thats all.
