I want to buy spindle 2.2 kW ( cnc spindle motor 2.2kw milling electric spindle & 2.2kw inverter & water pump & spindle clamp er20 collet set for cnc engraver-in Machine Tool Spindle from Industry & Business on Aliexpress.com | Alibaba Group). I'm not sure opportunity to mill soft aluminium. That is yout oppinions colleges?

That spindle could work - some of them do, some don't. But soft aluminum actually is more difficult to machine than aluminum that's been heat-treated to be hard. The soft stuff tends to be gummy, welds itself to the cutter, which then breaks because it's no longer able to cut the material that's in the way. Look for a hardened alloy like 6061 T6, use some lubricant when you're cutting it, and keep the cut free of chips.

That spindle will work very well for aluminium work, more grunt than what's needed actually, but as Andrew pointed out, the gumminess of alu is a real problem, a misting solution would be in order, or at least the occasional spray of WD40 or another better lube.

WD40 works fantastic for cutting aluminium, but it's not very good for you.

Thank you for answers. In my spindle use simple bearings for stanless steel made is china. Four Bearings in Motor (2*C7005+2*C7002). What is you opinnion about bearings
reliability milling aluminium?
