    Operating Systems for Mach

I have a PC that I plan to use for CNC Control, I have hard drives from old upgrades that I can swap out, etc. I currently have a drive with Linux and EMC2 installed.

I'm wanting to try out Mach 2 and/or 3 but I don't want to have to buy another license (I have 3) of Windows XP just to install on a hard drive to try out Mach.

My CNC PC was purchased for $35, I don't mind buying another Windows license but I don't want to have to tie it to that one older computer. Does Windows 2000 make you get online and register it to that single computer like XP does?

    Thanks

No, but you have to verify it online to download SP's and updates. But, once you verify it, you can download all the updates and SP and keep them on a CD.
