    LinuxCNC 2.7.1

It is my understanding that PP is based on LinuxCNC 2.7.0. I noticed that LinuxCNC 2.7.1 has been released (LinuxCNC Documentation Wiki: Released 2.7.X ). It will be interesting to see how long it takes to make its way into a new version of PP.

AFAIK Pathpilot is currently running on Ubuntu 10.04

Current binaries of LinuxCNC are available for Ubuntu 10,04, Ubuntu 12.04, Debian Wheezy, and Debian Jessie

If you build from source, most Debian based distributions should work

( I'm running LinuxCNC under Ubuntu 14.04 and have run it on Mint 17.1. Both required building from source )
