Has anyone build their own co2 laser ?

I have tried to figure out what i need to do this.

Was thinking of ordering this kit : Aliexpress.com : Buy 1325 a complete co2 laser engraving machine mechanical system parts with rail carriage and laser head for working area from Reliable machine head metal suppliers on March Yu's store | Alibaba Group

Will it do well ?
add nema motors + drivers, psu, tube, optics and lasercotroller.

Is there anythinge else that is recommended instead?

Make sure you encase it and vent it well to the outside. The tar and glue released when a co2 laser cuts objects builds up in your lungs over time if not vented properly.

Depends what the kind of machine, size and your money.

If you plane to instal chinese glass laser NEMA17 step motors are OK.
Best 400 steps/rev = 0.9deg.
Woill make metal bodies for that size.

Do what you want. For me you may use even NEMA 57.
You know what is funny with children like you. You allways know better.
Never build any laser plotter but you know better cos you saw few pictures made by idiots.

Wellm since it allreade has tha nema 23 bracket, looks I need to go that route
