Why did Brother stop the Wire EDM division?
I'm curious, because it seems like they killed that entire end of the company... Does anyone support their machinery 3rd party?
Thanks!

In short, Brother was hurting Charmilles EDM sales so Charmilles bought them out and phased them right out. I know of no one who supports them. I have an old 1988 HS-300 that just keeps going. They really made good machines.

Two Haas VF-2's, Haas HA5C, Haas HRT-9, Hardinge CHNC 1, Bother HS-300 Wire EDM, BobCAD V23, BobCAD V28
We bought two HS-70A machines through Charmilles, still get service and support from them ... for how much longer I don't know.
Otherwise your best bet is EDM Network.
Thanks guys for the intel!!
I have a Bostomatic 12G that has a similar situation (Mikron bought Bosto. Then GFAC bought Mikron...) It's still kicking butt, but support just switched to a subscription. Until a year ago their support was stellar.
I'd totally buy another 12G for trodes, because I know them and they are of good perf/value. WEDM is a new thing to me though, so I think I'll go with good support from the start.
