K40 Drifting while traveling between cuts

This is my first laser cutter and I'm pretty impressed with it's quality for the price. The only issue I am having is that it seems to drift a bit on both the x and y axis while traveling between cuts. For instance, exterior and interior cuts will be perfect measurement wise but not aligned properly. I get the same problem when I try to repeat a cut. It's always a little bit off. Anyone encounter this problem? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Are your belts loose or to tight.

That was my first thought but they seem like a good tension and I would think if it was a belt problem it would effect everything and not just travel moves.

I also tried slowing down the travel speed.

There is a rod underneath the black piece of metal in the very front of the cutter frame. Remove the two screws on the ends of the plate and check that the rod is not moving when you slightly twist it with your fingers. There is a possibility that the set screws on the right hand side have come loose and that may cause the problem that you are having.

I checked the rod and the screws seems snug. The entire Y axis moves when I rotate the rod, but that seems like normal operation. Any other ideas?

For anyone else who has this issue I fixed it by checking what main board was selected in corellaser. Somehow the wrong board got selected. When I selected the correct board the problem disappeared.
