How much of a ballscrew 'wobble' is too much?

    Hey guys!

Hoping to learn a few things ball screw related from your guys today.
I just got my screws yesterday and mocked one up quick to see how they were going to look.
Check out this vid on youtube that I uploaded. It has a bit of a wobble. Now, the ballscrew nut isn't attached to the gantry yet, so I'm sure that will help support things. I have my drill chucked up to the fixed end to spin it consistently (will the drills weight mess with how straight the screw spins? Seems that there is some play in the fk15 that allows some radial freedom).
    These are 2010.

Also, whats the best way to tighten the jamb nut on the fixed end of a fk15? How do you guys hold the ballscrew while snugging up the jamb nut?

    Thanks in advance!!

Once fixed, if it does not bind at the ends, its fine.
    Try it by hand.

The motion should be smooth and not bind.
If you cannot rotate the screw by hand, well .. the error is too large, imho, ime.

I've a similar setup on my 3d printer. I have fk 12 there is little wobble when you try to move it. If you make it really tight ballscrew stucks. There has to be a small wobble to give some space while it rotates.

Saying that I'm having difficulties to run my ballscrew nowadays. Something happened and I couldn't run ballscrew like I used to run before. I think it is related with ballscrew nut. There are small caps on the nuts (Chinese ones) I think they've played or damaged in some how. Should I have to replace them? Or is there any other way to solve this problem?

So I finally got it mounted and aligned to the best of my ability. I've got it to the point where I can turn it easily enough by hand. There is about 6 inches that it gets a little tougher, but I don't need to grip it like crazy to turn. I can turn with a firm twist with the first knuckle or two of my fingers
