    homing troubles

    Hello,

I built a 3 axis machine the uses a slave drive on my x axis. Everything runs and works great other then homing.

When homing my x axis, everything is fine until the axis hits the limit switches. Once the switches are activated both the slave and master motors want to go the the opposite direction.

I have a normally open proximity switch on my slave side and a normally closed on my master side.

I have tried changing both my Active Low settings and Home Neg settings.

The only thing i can think is that maybe my Slave axis is wired backwards.< i am not sure if it is or not, but i do have my slave axis uncheck for Dir Low Active.

    hope someone can help,

    Thanks,
    Mike

I thought I saw it as ,If you slave one axis to another effectively you are trying to run them both at once? that's of course if I have written it the rite way round so I have the boxes ticked none.

    Re: homing troubles

I needed to wire my slave drive backwards so that they are both not ticked.

But that did not fix my problem. when I run my ref all home and my x axis goes to the homing switches things get all weird on me. the slave keep going into the switch and the x goes away.
