Noob question - Good breakout board for Gecko G203v's ?

    Hi guys,

Sorry for the noob question that's been asked a lot, most threads are out of date so it's hard to make a decision on what breakout board to use for my cnc.
It's a 3 axis cncwhere the y axis has dual driven ballscrews, drivers are Gecko G203v's. Next years final year university project is to design a 2 axis head, so ideally the board could support 6 axis's. Also would be nice to have one that could use a scanning probe.
Most likely going to be using mach3/mach4, Will be using a standalong pc/laptop so could be parallel/ethernet/usb, what ever is recommended.

Currently the option I was going with was a pmdx-126, any cheaper options that fit the requirements would be great!

An oldish pic of the build for anyone that's interested

The PMDX is generally considered the top of the line breakout board.
Finding something that will support 6 axis would be nearly impossible, or expensive. It would require two parallel ports. A much cheaper option would be to use two separate, cheaper breakout boards.
CNC4PC makes a variety of popular boards.

If you're not going to be using the parallel port, than you need to decide on a motion controller before you purchase breakout boards. Some motion controllers require them, some don't. Some that require them require boards made specifically for that motion controller.
