    thin part machining problem

    Hi

    please see attached drawing.

It is a seal ring that split from center, i machining this part with my CNC lathe machine by this method :

    1- Cutting a ring from a plate ((ST37 material(ASTM A 283 M-98 Grade B))
2- Turing a simple ring with 10 mm bigger than the original dimension
    3- Stress relive
4- 5 to 6 mm Bobbitt coating material for inside of part
5- cut the part from center by wire cut EDM machine
6- Turing the ring 1 mm near the original dimension
7- put the part 3 to 4 day with out any job on it in the room temperature
    8- Final machining

I did all eight up step for my seal ring but after opening the part from My CNC lathe i have some problem on my part (The dimension on the one side of ring has changed, i seemed i have stress on part that after opening the clamp from the machine it is relived and changed the dimension of my part
I clamp the ring by using adjustable support plate on my CNC lathe not with 3 or 4 jaw self center

please let me to know what is wrong with me if you have any experience in these parts.

    Thanks a lot
