    Alarm 134 Tool Clamp Fault

I have a 2011 HAAS VF3SS and I am getting alarm 134 intermittently but more and more often. It happens when the arm swings in to grab the tool out of the spindle. It seems to pull it out a bit but then it gets sucked back into the spindle and alarms. It seems timing is off. I checked diagnostics while doing tool change and it shows that the "draw bar open" timing is off. It's on time but not open long enough. With my other machine it's open about 3 seconds but this one anywhere from a fraction to 1 second and the length of time is not consistent. Checked the pre-charge pressure. Was at 25 PSI so changed to 30 according to manual but that did not help. Today it happened without even having a tool in the spindle so it is not a sticky tool. Don't think it's the limit switches because then it would be more consistent. I think it's a bad unclamp solenoid but before I spend any money on changing that, I was wondering if anybody has had the same problem or has any wisdom in this regard.

Re: Alarm 134 Tool Clamp Fault

Did indeed replace both solenoids (it's hard to determine which one is the problem) and so far solved the problem. Tool changes have never been this quiet as well.
