    Beginner Toolset

    Another noob asking questions.

I have a X6-2200L router on order. I have my starter set of sofware sorted out, but would like advice on what would be a solid starting set of cutting tools for it. Collets are ordered as well, so that is covered. Be specific please.. I don't speak the language fluently as of yet.

    Thanks,

    Joey

Cutters are obvious and you will buy as required. For a small machine with fast RPM I would stick to 1 flute cutters (for plastic) and 2 flute cutters for everything else. Get a large diameter fly cutter for cutting the spoil board.

    But for NOOB shop stuff....

    Safety Glasses
    Ear Plugs
    Dust Mask
    Micrometers
    Calipers
    Dial indicator and mount
    Files
    Edge Finder

1 flute or 2 flute end mills are very useful for starters.
