Dear all,
I had been working (in Italy) with traditional machines for several years (as a serious hobbyist) but recently, having to further reduce my workshop space in the family garage, I decided to go CNC and bought a 3D mill.
This happened in Aug of last year and now - Jan - I'm still fighting to make some progress with the machine.
The mill comes with Mach3 and I am trying to fill the gap between making a drawing and cutting the part.
At present I have two urgent problems to solve:
- finding a low-cost, very friendly CAD/CAM that I can quickly learn to use;
- generating the G code for a generic ellipse that I can adapt to my projects by changing the diameters.
Can anyone assist?
