Dear All,

First of all I have to say I am not an electrical engineer (I am a chemist) but I have to go thru this. My experience with motors is 3D printer and wiring 3 stepper motors running with Mach3.

I have 2 servo motors 200AC, 100W and two amplifier. See photo. I want to use them for small cnc router.

My questions are:

1. Are the motors and amplifiers compatible?
If the answer of the question 1 is positive, so:
2. What connector should I use and where to buy? I need wiring diagram. I found some in internet for other motors but probably they are similar.

Is there no information on the SanyoDenki site.?
The biggest decider with compatibility is in the form of commutation on motor and drive.

I could not find such information. I see the connectors don't match which dishearten me.
If the amplifier and the motors are compatible I will try to find some experienced person to help. I just need general information and steps I have to do if I start the project.
If they are not compatible I will postpone the project till I find motors.
I really appreciate any help or advice.

Either way you are going to need the drive setup information and motor details, Check to see if there is a SanyoDenki support contact it maybe with a distributor even.
What are the model numbers of the drives and motors?

I have never been able to get anything usefull from Sanyo Denki. They are teh least helpfull of all teh other servo drive manfs. You will get teh same answer EVEN if you use a model number directly off the site to ask help for (;-) Been there done that.

That said IF both units are sanyo there then is a good chance they will work together , just beware on most published spec sheets teh Hall order color code is WRONG. IF I rememebr correctly teh B and c are reversed. The only way to know for sure is to scope teh signals. Done that as well that is how we found out they were wrong.

So I have to find qualified engineer to do it professional. I thought The connectors would be compatible and just to connect them.

I would simply hook them up to published specs and see if it runs then work from there. IF you are not familar with AC servo drives it might be best to seek help from someone local that understands the process. Once you have seen it all done it is not that bad to do another one.
