Hi Guys, I'm a newbie so hopefully posting in the correct place this time
I am about to purchase my first ever CNC machine to help build guitars--for parts such as fingerboards, necks, Bracing etc etc. I mostly build Acoustics but now and again I will do an electric body. Oh, and also mandolins etc
I saw the Stepcraft cnc machine and its available here where I live in Ireland but I was wondering if its just a hobby machine or would it also be suitable for light production work.
Theres also the JBEC professional machine available, albeit a lot more expensive---http://stoneycnc.co.uk/jbec-professional-cnc-overview/. I'm starting from scratch in Cnc technology and would have to learn how to use the software etc but getting older now and finding it harder and harder when sanding and chiselling for hours on end so perhaps this is the way to go.

Very happy with my 4x2 pro from CNCRouterParts so far. Haven't done much more besides proof of concepts, but it is very solid.

Best part is, it is easily expandable later if I want a larger footprint.
