    Adobe Illustrator Files

Does anyone know of a shareware/freeware program to convert Adobe Illustrator 8 files to dwg or dxf?

    Thanks

Adobe Illustrator 8 will export as a DXF already. Most illustation packages will import .ai files and can save/export as DXF as well.

Rhino can read .ai files as well.

There is a pretty cool piece of software by IMSI called Hijack Pro that converts most common vector and other graphics types. There is a free trial as well.

    Thanks Nathan

I ended up using Rino's 25 day trial.

I needed the .dxf for use with a laser cutting machine and the job is on a tight schedule so you really saved my bacon.

    Thanks again for your help.
