Do you use a CAM program/post or is this all hand written code?

    Thanks!

Hi Andrew. Ok I will get on to that.

So far I am using mostly hand written code - but remember it not so scary because you can evolve it in mid air, save that code file, and start your next job with that, and just edit it. Mostly it is just simple X Z commands.

Hopefully I'm not breaking any rules by posting this.

A few years back I made a small production run of lathe tool holders that were designed to fit a 6" vise. I closed my machining business and went back to tech work, but I still have a few that I'd be willing to sell.
    Details are here. http://www.cnczone.com/forums/news-a...0-tormach.html

Mods, if this is against the rules for me to advertise in this way, please delete this post.

hi Andrew - Sorry had a break down today and running late. I started to take photos but then realised they are not much use as I made my own Arbor. I would just but a R8 Arbor - something like this ...

    M536 | R8 - FMB27-20 Face Mill Arbor | For Sale East Tamaki - Auckland | Buy Workshop Equipment & Machinery online at machineryhouse.co.nz

Ignore the NZ price but you get the idea. Then fit it to a backing plate with a thread or a big screw etc.

    cheers Keen
