    Question Alternative Material

    I would like to know what type of material to practice on other then alumunium, to keep cost down on my 3 axis cnc mill?
    Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Bar soap for small parts, 4x4 blocks of wood can be used as-is or glued together for larger "billets".

    MDF is perfect, wax is another or just do it in aluminum and maybe you,ll get lucky and get it right the first time.......:devious: http://www.cnczone.com/forums/images...es/devious.gif

    ZipSnipe, I think that I'm leaning toard MDF as I have so many parts to prototype. ( Measure twice cut once or something like that ).
