have a bad ball nut and ball screw on our mori seiki SL25,

and i got all the covers off and i can see where the motor and the upper thrust bearings and where the Ball nut would un-bolt from the cross slide.

but i can figure out how to get to the thrust bearing block at the bottom with the 3 angular contact bearings and the nut at the end of the ball screw.

there is a large block that is inbetween the ways that looks like it could be removed to access it. but cant seem to figure out how to remove it.
