    CamWorks Assembly

Folks - We have CamWorks and was curious if anyone is using it by working from an assembly. We also have SolidWorks 2006
My assembly consist of VF4 Haas table 18" x 48" with two kurt D675 vises.
By taking one part at a time placing them in the assembly, how would CamWorks or should I say how would I set-up CamWorks to recognize multi "Z" locations.
We do not have a rotary table so once one side is machined it is removed and the other side is machined in the next vise.
I might be asking alot from the software. We just piece the code together by hand (cut and paste) for now.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated!!

    Great Forum!

    A couple of ways...

If you are running the latest version of CAMWorks you can do this by either using machining configurations or by using "Mfg View" when creating your setup.

You can use multiple fixture offset numbers. Under the Part Setup Parameters dialog go to the offset tab and use the Work Coordiante switch. You can simplify the process by not using Assembly and create the parts in a part file with two (2) seperate bodys.

Check out the Teksoft forum. There is a wealth of knowledge there also.
