Mori Seiki SL 250 getting programs in and out with a PMCIA card

    Hi guys,

Searched through the archives but didn't see anything on this. The machine is a Mori Seiki SL 250 Lathe with a MSC 500 controller.
I’m trying to get a program from the machine onto a PMCIA card and then back onto another identical machine. It looks like a Fanuc Control but when I go to Edit>Program>Dir> punch in my number, hit Punch and Exec, it does nothing.I have tried changing the IO output number to 0,1,2,3 and neither work although when it is on 0 or 1 at least it gives me an error so I know it tried. Anyone do this on this lathe or have any memories of how to move programs to a PMCIA card?

    Thanks,

    Tom

I have been able to get programs in and out with the RS232 port and a scan tool with the IO port set to "0" but the PMCIA slot in the control next to the display doesn't communicate with any setting. I'm assuming there is a parameter somewhere I can't find to turn this slot on. There might even be a separate screen to use this slot, but I'm not sure how to find it .
