Well I've been working on this design for a couple of weeks and I finally got the mechanical part designed. The main Frame is made of 2.5 inch squre steel tubing and Mic 6 tooling plate. The first 3 pics are with the guards and bellow guides and the final 3 pics are purely mechanical. It will be ballscrew drive on the X and Y axises and Acme Thread on the Z. I have designed everything so that all of the mechanical parts are more or less sealed from chips and the majority of dust. There will be flat bellows on all 3 axises. The linear bearings are NSK LU15. I will have about 32" X 16" Y and 10" Z. So let me know what you all think and if you have any questions.
