I have tried many different things with the stepper motor setup on a plasma table i am building, im using nema 23 motors at 280oztorque, when manually jogging the motors they dont move fast at all, im talkig about moving a foot and it taking 3 to 5 minutes, my table is small its only a 4x4 table using linear slides and ballscrews
im using ballscrews with a 5mm pitch i am using stepper motors with 6 wires but only using 4 wires red, blue, black, and green, right now i have the board that everyone hates which is the tb6560 which i will be replacing once i can make sure i can get some speeds out of the motors and not waste more money on something that wont work.
also what kinda heat should be coming off the stepper motors because they can get extremely hot.
which decay setting should i use on dip switches, along with current and even the steps, the wiring documents given to me are not very good
