Hello,
I have an old woodworking machine with servodrives Simodrive 611 and motors 1FT5062, 1FT5064 and 1FT5066. Does someone knows a a servodrive with digital step and direction input to replace the Simodrive 611?

Ur motor has special ac tach not usable by ANY other drive.

There are NO 611 replacement drives.

U need to change cnc output to +/-10v analog.

many thanks for your answer. Some new servo drives do not use the tach for feedback. They use only the incremental signal. Do you know its possible to use these motors only with the encoder feedback?

NO. I was not clear... There is no encoder! There is nothing but this special AC tach for commutation and position feedback.

Now if you have a special motor WITH ADDED external encoder, ok - but again, THAT will not have commutation tracks so it is no good either...

We have modified these where we machine an adapter to take out the special tach and put in a frameless resolver, but the cost is too much for most - around $ 1500 to do it. Cheaper to buy new.
