    Stepper Sizing Question

    Group,

I am converting a Grizzly X3 to CNC with the CNC-Fusion ballscrew kit and I would like suggestions as to what size i.e. Torque steppers I should be installing. I believe the x and y axis are NEMA 23 and the Z is NEMA 34. I will be using G203V’s to drive them.

    Thanks,
    Todd

280oz-in motors ran my X and Y axes very well during testing. I am using 5TPI ballscrews though, this helps. My Z axis has one of those 425oz-in motors from Keling mounted, that should be more than enough.
