The air blow is in the sensor routine to clean off chips and coolant. It is not recommended to remove it. An exair air knife addition will quiet it.

The m code is buried in the gauging MSB file an is in each routine and is protected, so as not to be altered...

    Best regards,

EXAIR's Air Nozzles and Jets reduce noise and compressed air cost for blowoff and drying

Try to add some different air nozzle to quiet it rather than eliminate the blow.

Though technically correct, do not, I repeat, do not, do this. If the goal is simply disable under all conditions the air blow, disconnect the air line for the solenoid or the electrical connector from the solenoid to trigger the air. Simpler. More reversible.

disabling air is not so good, because chips sometimes remain on the senzor

    so, i replaced "M155" with "M155*G04 F0.6*M154"

    * is a non alfa-numeric / special char that i can not write in the forum; it means something like "enter" from the keyboard msb files do not fit classical text layout ...

effect : air is blown enough to clean the senzor ; if there are chips on tool, this requires operator intervention ...

Hello mr Wizard good to see you

maybe it's time to change your signature

    Try listening more ...
there is a point when whatever i read, or even if i am given a solution, i just don't get it ... it takes time for me to make the " connection "

also, i don't have always time for such stuff, because of "daily routines" ... i expect a programmer in October, so i can focus more on "my way", and less on what is required ... "what is required" i do, but is not chalenging for me

ps : somewhere, somehow, we 2, think the same

during keyboard writing, each time "enter" is pressed, a "new line is inserted", and "cursor jumps to the new line begining" ; text appears as :

    line1
    line2

this text may be saved as it is, or like this : line1*line2, thus a long line ; however, when text is displayed again, the compiler may break it whenever it meets " * "

one thing this trick delivers is smaller size for simple files : "enter" uses 2 bytes, one for the "end of line" and another for " new line insert " ; this char uses a single byte for same behaviour it seems that msb files use this last variant

... into the attached image, this character can be seen ( "relatively", because it is not displayed the character, but the fact that it is there )
... attached txt file contains this caracter; if you open it with " notepad", or a simple text editor, it should display "12" ; if you copy and paste it into a complex text editor, as "word", it should display two lines, one with "1", and 2nd with "2"

this started since the typewriter machines ; more about this can be found here : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carriage_return
