I'm looking at Z axis units from this seller on eBay...http://stores.ebay.com/CNC4NEWBIE?_t...p2047675.l2563

I noticed that he's using some different materials for bearings such as nyloil. What's the word on these materials? Are they suitable and will they hold up in the long term?

Well...I purchased this unit...CNC Z Axis Slide DIY CNC Plasma Oxy Router Linear Motion NEMA 23 Tivar 3D Mill | eBay

I'll report back on how well it functions. The bearing looks substantial enough and I'll have dust collection and will keep the bearings and rail clean. It'll be on a machine that'll be used somewhat more than hobby, but a good bit less than production if that makes sense.

EDIT...well...this is the one I wound up with after the seller suggested it. This one has anti-backlash and the other one above didn't.
